We, Elsie Korner and Donald Bilsten, will our knee guards to Marlene Winter and Leonard Benson. I, Don Bilsten, will my ability to sing to the sophomore girls. I, Alice Schurke, will my ability to type to Gordon Clauson. W, Alice Schurke and Maxine Hansohn, will our noon day walks down town to Joyce Finstrom and Genevieve Wilson. The Seniors leave the north row of desks to members of the Junior class if they are lucky enough to get them. SENIOR CLASS PROPHECY We are sorry to see another school year so swmftly pass We also re gret that because of the graduatzon of the Semors they w1ll leave Kiron h1gh to attempt to prove themselves a success 1n the world We would l1ke to see them accomplxsh the1r amb1t1ons And so for your enjoyment the class would l1ke you to come along wxth us and by travel1ng faster than sound and t1me we shall V1S1t and eavesdrop on the Semors of 1949 as they w1ll be 1n the year of 1959 Our flrst stop 15 Spr1ngdale Memorlal Hospmtal Austln Texas where we f1nd lnterne B1lsten at h1s daxly sh1ft At present we fznd h1m wheellng a poor lnnocent pat1ent xnto the operatlng room As we remember Don he was Doc Bmlsten the b1g center on the basketball team Slnce then he has acqu1red much knowledge havxng gone to Iowa State College at Ames where he majored m animal husbandry graduated as a veter1nary and now 15 pract1c1ng med1c1ne on people When we ask h1m where he 1ntends to start h1s practlce after f1I11Sh1Dg his two years of intern sh1p he rephes I haven t dec1ded def1n1tely but my fzancee suggested that we start up 1n a small town perhaps Kxron The homely l1ttle town of Ette North Carolxna 15 our next stop Thls Southern town boasts a very promxnent c1t1zen whom we all know Why of course 1t IS Marv1n Schurke who 1S a character to the town but not to Allegra his plump Mexmcan wmfe who loves h1m Mr Schurke IS a tobacco auctmneer and owner of a leadlng Snuff Company We now f1nd ourselves 1n Hollywood the f11m cap1tal of the world In thxs mxllxon dollar busxness of mak1ng movles there xs an abundance of varlous profltable Jobs An xmportant one 1S that of the ha1r dressers and make up men and women th1s and here we flnd Jean Nelson applylng wave lotlon and settxng Van Johnson s haxr She seems very unconcerned about the famous personage she must be dreamlng of her Loule to whom she IS engaged Jean tells us the Dee Swanson worked here too but left several years ago for a more glamorous posxtmon that of bexng the w1fe of Vernon Gustafson Up the rxver let us stop at Omaha We have a spec1al reason for stopplng for you see Alxce Schurke and the former EISIC Korner l1ve here Al1ce IS a long d1s tance telephone operator who could use the practzcal advxce of Mr Anthony It seems that Red and Bob S are neck and neck 1n the race of capt1vat1ng Al1ce s heart Her problem 15 how to say yes to both of them and stall not be a polygammst F1516 IS more fortunate for she had a husband and st1ll maintains her buslness status She IS vxce presxdent of the M1d West Dlaper Laundry Service Oh yes Elsxe IS very contented as Mrs Wxllzam Johnson Ne pxck up the Omaha World Herald at a newstand On the front page our BUCHIIOII IS drawn to a cartoon The cartoon expresses an xmportant SC18Dt1.f1C vxewpoxnt dealxng wxth lxvxng wlth mother ln laws We remark that th1s cartoon rates 1n compar1s1on wlth the work of Dmg Darlxng Married l1fe has alded the success of thxs cartoomst and artlst for he xs Bayard Larson and his wlfe of course Rachel Schlesmg IS the home of Mr and Mrs Sonksen we remember Mrs Sonksen as Maxine Hansohn In the lovely backyard of thelr new home we see Maxine s two ll . . . . .
