SL NIOR CLASS HISTORY Just before the Great blxzzard of 36 came raging throuvh the country s1de three llttle 1nqu1s1t1ve chlldren courageously began then' f1rst day of school They were Dee Arhss Swanson Bayard Larson and Donald Bmlsten Mrs Lloyd Benson then Mar1an Currle w s our teacher for our f1rst two years Mar1an Sundell for the th1rd year Besxdes the attractlon of enter1nv the lntermed1ate room, we pamed a new student a tough l1ttle boy from Arthur named Jun1or Skarxn In the f1fth year Bur dette Hedstrom jo1ned us Durmp our stay 1n th1s room we enjoyed an afternoon lunch of m1lk and oraham crackers every diy We had two teachers wh1le 1n th1s room M1ldred Denn1ngton durmg the fourth grade and Jeanette Cedergren 1n the fxfth and sncth grades The followlng year we got to go up two whole fllghts of stalrs We were now 1n .Tumor hxqh In the seventh year two more students Jo1ned us They were Betty Ann Moulds of Lake Clty and John Larson Our class now numbered s1x Mrs Ralph Schultz taught us that year Jean Nelson Dlck Hemer and Dxck I-Iagberg Jomed us IH the elghth grade Dlck Hemer was wlth us for only a short t1me as he left that year to l1ve 1n lsarly Our teacher was Geraldme Glade At last we were 1n hwh school On September lst 1945 twelve green Fresh Maxine Hansohn Ronald Maurxtz and Marvxn Schurke came mn from country school and Jolned us Three of our classmates left us thls vear Betty Ann Moulds D1ck I-Iapberg and Clement Th1ede Now that we were 1n hlgh school we had three teachers xnstead of one Our Sophomore year brourvht us 1 llttle Southern belle Elsxe Ko of Tunas M1ssour1 Also Alxce Schurke of Delo1t Th1s year was uneventful except for the Halloween party we gave the h1gh school Our .Iumor class play Hot Water Henry was a huge success Harr1et Wav ner of Cox esv11le jozned us th1s class was once aga1n an even dozen Moonhg t and Roses was the theme of the banquet we gave for the Semors The b nquet was e u rf room of Hotel Den1son after whxch we attended a theater partv at R1t We are now ll our last year of h1gh school The Senxor class plans to g1ve a class play some time 1n Aprll whxch we are sure w1ll be very successful The Junxors say they have earned so much money th1s year so maybe they w1ll gxve us a banquet as lovely as the one we gave However that rema1ns to be seen Our Baccalaureate serv1ce w1ll be held at the M1ss1on Church w1th Rev Orvllle Johnson s speaker Commencement w1ll be held May 19 mn the Baptlst Church 8 .H K .
