“SVINIOR CLASS HISTORY On one sunny crlsp lxdonday mornmv 1n September l 35 ex en 11ttle excxtcd and 1nqu1s1t1ve chlldrer came boldly to school for tne fxrst day They were N orrls Faugerstrom Bxlly Johnsor Norman Johnson Herbert Larson Betty Norehus R1chard Ionnson and Beverly Skarln Thxs was the be-g1nn1nU of our Serlor Class The second year when we came back to school we were mmus Morrm Faugerstrom lxflrs Lloyd Benson was our teacher all three years that we were mn the Pnmary Room All dur1ng the next summer we were looklno forward to begmnxng the new school year 1n the mtermedxate room wh1ch prov1ded a new and dxfferent atmosphere Santa left us Chr1stmas presents tha year for when we returned a chubby l1ttle g1rl w1th long fat p1gta1ls jo1ned us She was Gay Wood from Charter Oak Mlss Esther Spalrn was responsxble for us th1s year Our f1fth year was fxlled w1th lots of excxtement for three new pupxls jo1ned our merry class Two llttle roly poly boy Judson Johnston MISS M11dred Penmngton .vas our capable xnstructor for thls year Betty Burton was w1th us for a few weeks durmg the slxth year and Rlchard Johnson left our class to make Worthmgton lvlmnesota h1s home Our new xnstructor was M1ss Jeanette Cedergren of K1ron Our promotxon was not only from the s1xth to the seventh grade but also up two fl1ghts of stalrs We were now a group of mne youngsters who thought them selves qu1te grown up Mrs Lambert Bergln had the task of teachmg us that year MayDel1e Gustafson and Glenn Tellgren came 111 the exghth year to 1ncrease our class to eleven members Under the d1rect1on of Mrs Ralph Schultz we presented at P T A two one act plays Who Gets The Car Tonmght and Herbxe s F1TSt Date We were the largest class to graduate from Junlor Hxgh and we recelved our dlplomas the same n1ght the I-hgh School D1p1omas were presented In September 1944 th1rteen green Freshrnen entered lnto the assembly wh1ch seemed to us an enormous room Two newcomers from the country were Norma W1nqu1st and Phyllxs Thxede had Jomed us One member of our class was afra1d to face 1n1t1at1on but the other twelve stayed to brave the unknown future Our Sophomore year was uneventful except for the Skat1ng Party we gave At least we were upper classmen Our Junxor play Aunt Cathy s Cat was a howlmg success The banquet wh1ch was centered around the Holland Bunket theme was very picturesque and cons1dered one of the lovehest banquets ever gmven Now we have reached our last year of hlgh school We are all very enthused about It and at the same t1me we are wondermg what we w1ll be do1ng next year The Senxor class plans to gave a class play some t1me 1n Apr11 whxch we are sure w1ll be very successful We also are lookmg forward to the .Tumor Semor Banquet that 15 to be gxven for us xn Apr1l The .Tunxors say xt IS gomg to be better than the one we gave last year That remams to be seen Our Baccalaureate servxces w1ll be held at the Mxss1on Church w1th Rev Robey as speaker Commencement w1ll be held May 20th 1n the Bapt1st Church.
