The courses each student takes must, then, prepare him tor the job ahead--whether it be college or an occupation. Classes which originated with reading and Writing have presently been expanded to include grammar, literature, and speech courses. With the addition ot a special college preparatory course this year, the K.l-LS. curriculum has again enlarged to till the need of another particular group ot stu- dents. The pupil is better able to master a foreign language, appreciate literature and dis- crirninate in his reading matter for having mastered the fundamentals of communication.
