STECPATHY as a science, the cul inination of many years of study, ex periinentation and practice, was given to the world in 1874 hy the genius of A, T, Still. This new System of therapy, hased upon sound physiological laws, had only two fun damentals. The first was the heliel' that the human hody formed all the suhstances neces sary for its protection against disease. The other principle was the ohservation that the actual production of disease was due to structural derangeinents or lesions of the spinal column and its attached appendages. We have ohserved the manner in which spinal lesions lessen the defensive processes of the hody hy altering the functional hal ance hetween the parasyinpathetic and syin pathetic divisions of the autonoinics.
