The following players made the 1924 Eastern trip: Frank Mitchell CCapf tainj, Gordon Atkinson CManagerD, Okey O'Connor, Bert Wright, Fred Rutherford, Eric Johnston, Grant Braund. In spite of their best efforts to win the second game of the season, Michigan's hockey art- ists were forced to bow to the superior all' around play of the sextet representing the Amer- ican School of Osteopf athy by a score of 6-3 last night at the Coli' seum .... It is no disgrace to the Michigan sextet to have lost to their oppof nents, who boasted of one of the best hockey teams ever seen in Ann Arbor. Both in individf ual play and in team' work, the osteopaths showed brilliant form. The result was that the Michigan defense was drawn apart and then excellent stick work and accurate shooting of the Doctors came into play. -College paper at Ann Arbor. X 1 l L N WRIGHT, Goal Bert played a clever game in the nets and will be greatly missed next season. joHNs'roN, Forward Johnnie flashed in all games and was responsible for a large share of the Rams' success. MITCHELL, Defense Captain Frank could always be relied upon for a fast, steady game. His defense play was great. ATKINSON, Forward Gord was much in evidence in all games played and will go big again next year. Run-maronn, Defense Fred thrived on hard work and always turned in a clever performance. His hard shot scored more than a few goals. BRAUND, Forward Grant displayed some great stick handling and was a big factor in the team's success. O'CONNOR, Forward Okey played good hockey in all games. His poke check breaking up many combina- tion plays in midfice. Was good on both offense and defense. Page 211
