Ben Pettitt ha a cattle ranch on the plains of Texas and is making a fortune furnishing bulls for the fights in Old Mexico. How surprised I was not long ago when I took my boys into the A and B Barber Shop. There was my old friend Alvin Blevins specializing in cutting hair to suit a man's personality. As I waited for the boys I decided to get a manicure. The manicurist was Janice Boston, now Mrs. Arthur Howard. Arthur stays home and cares for the three children while Janice works. Johnny Crump and Joe Devlin are traveling salesmen for the James Doyle Bucket Co. Last I heard of Walter McCommon he was going strong on that navy career as commander of the U. S. S. Tennessee. Harold Rochester always enjoyed strange adventures. Right now he's head instructor for the frogmen at the frogmen training grounds' on Chickamauga Lake. Ray Smith owns a boat dock and sporting goods store near-by. It's called Smith's Paradise. Gene Morgan, the unpredictable! Right now he owns Morgan Center in New York. It was formerlly Rockafellow Center and Gene won it on a bet. Thomas Davis has the biggest home and the biggest family in town. I should knowg they live next door. And what a racket! It goes on all the time. Rosa Hicks is the capable nurse who takes care of the Davises' numerous children. We're all healthy in Chattanooga these days for Sonny Crane is Sanitation Engineer for the City and his able assistant is Jimmy Taylor. Not long ago Allen Phillips was caught using his Print Shop to print S100 bills. I don't know where he is now. Not long ago Ann Buffington made a real name for herself in the Courts of Tennessee. She al- ways was a good talker and she talked Johnny Crump right out of trouble over something he was caught doing on Daisy Mountain. Our class had a host of good secretaries in it. Mary Jo Sliger is with a big bank in Chicagog Elizabeth Quarles is private secretary to the president of DuPont Companyg Margaret Mackey and Peggie Dodson are public school secretariesg and Shirley Elrod works for Quaker Oats Company. Ronald Sleepy Welter is testing mattresses at the Everlasting Mattress Co. owned by Charles Chambers. Mary Venable is still chasing a rich old bachelor who owns a mansion on the hill top. Don Riley has long since given up the search for a wealthy widow, and gossips are beginning to link his and Mary's name in society columns. . Joyce Stubhlefield and Marilyn Waldrip have traveled around the world several times. The last trlp was made in a jet propelled flying saucer. Lee Ewton and Edward O'Leary are in business together and have a rather successful Radio and T. V. Shop. Their head of sales is Rose Marie Poole. William Green just recently opened another store ln a chain known as Green's Soft Shoe Stores. They specialize in shoes for men with big feet. l CAFMX1 Legg and Kay McCrary are working in the biggest bank in town. Kay is a teller 3 Alston is a . . . Louise Lumpkins is teaching school somewhere, and I heard the subject was history, of all things! Manley Meadows is postmaster in Chattanooga. Jimmy Swanson is in Atlanta working as master of ceremonies on several T. V. shows. Of course, he's married. Hollis Harris has a print shop and Norma Jean Clowers is his wife and adviser on all business matter. V Right now Earl Clowers is holding a revival in a little community in the hills of North Carolina. He's doing some good work, I hear. Betty Elliott married some fellow from New York and is now living on easy street. Come to think of it her husband is a partner of Barney Padgett, an electrical engineer. If you ever need an A-1 electrician just call Jerry Smartt. He'll come at all hours and he really knows his work. . Ruby Green -is still evening school secretary and Ruby Jo McCanless is running a florist shop with Jo Turner. My--but the time's gone in a hurry, and I'd better rush or I'll be late to see my sons graduate from my Alma Mater. Ann Kosky ...29..
