CLUB SAMUEL H JONES Aduser MARIE BLALOCK Secretary L E KELLER Co Aduser BETTY BURNS Treasurer JERRY COOPER President BETTYE SARTIN Reporter TOMMY EVANS Vxce President ALAN CLEPPER Parlzamenlarmn The T 8: I Club is organized to create and nurture a respect for all honest labor and an appreciation of workers and workmanship This club seeks to unite vocational students of Tennessee in a common bond of interest and loyalty to the prmclples of representative government and to develop a wholesome respect for democratic ideals An effort IS made through club programs and other HCIIVIIICS to foster an understanding of the complicated relationships and inter dependence of labor and capital Members are urged to practice thrift ann sound busmess one of the ma1n purposes of these clubs and most lmportant of all members are encouraged in developing a satisfying philosophy of life based upon the Golden Rule- Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you do ye even so to them The T 8: I Club has sponsored many social events throughout the year Some of these are Fall Festival Chapel Programs Christmas Party Variety Show Skatmg Party and many other mmor events These activities not only provide financial support they also encourage their members to prepare for leadership and provide these activities through which they may develop self confidence poise and dependability Because of the large T 8: I Club membership m our school the Club was divided into smaller groups of Shop Clubs each having its own officers and meet mgs Our membership this year included over three hundred high school students ' 9 l. 9 - ' 9 ' Y' s Y A Y , . - . y . .
