Junior Class History In the fall of 55 seven g1rls and seven boys enrolled as freshmen at the Klpp Hlgh School They were as follows Peggy Watt Mary Lelster Blame Swanson Sharon Shlrack Joy Reese Carolyn Kogler Amta Shelby Robert McFarlane Roger Bachofer Rlchard Mart1n, Don Johnson Gary Robbrns, Denms Ash and Glenn Satterlee We chose Coach Droegemerer for our sponsor The class offlcers elected were as follows Presldent Gary Robblns V1ce Presrdent Peggy Watt Secretary Treasurer Glenn Satterlee All the boys went out for basketball and baseball except Robert and Peggy Watt and Mary Lerster were cheerleaders thls year Peggy and Gary were on the Oriole Staff Peggy Mary Elalne Ioy Sharon and Carolyn were 1n the trlple tr1o The same g1rls plus Rlchard were 1n band Peggy and Elalne entered solos 1n the contest th1s year All the boys were ln Mlxed Chorus and Boys Glee Club The g1rls were ln Mlxed Chorus and G1rls' Glee Club In the beglnnlng of our sophomore year the same fourteen members enrolled wlth the add1 t1on of one who was Don Nelson Amta departed from our class at the end of the flrst semester Mr Eklund was our sponsor for th1s year The class offlcers were elected as follows Peggy Watt Mary Lelster and Ioy Reese were the cheerleaders thls year and all the boys went out for basketball and baseball except Robert and Don Nelson Mary Elalne Peggy and Sharon were on the Orlole Staff Peggy Elalne Ioy Sharon and Carolyn were 1n the trlple trio The same g1rls and Rlchard and Glenn were 1n band At the start of our Junior year fourteen members plus four enrolled They were Helen Hoeffner Ed Tlbblttes Melvin Grlggs and Iack Grifflth Ed left us at the end of the fifth 6 weeks We chose Mrs Rassette for our sponsor class offlcers were as follows Presldent Helen V1ce Presldent, Roger Secretary Treasurer Peggy All the boys went out for basketball and baseball Sharon and Ioy were cheerleaders this year All the class were ln mlxed chorus Mary Ela1ne Ioy Peggy Sharon Carolyn Glenn, and Ed were ln band Mary Peggy and Sharon were 1n the tr1o these same g1rls plus Carolyn and Ioy were 1n the sextet The Junior Senior Play was given on April ll 1958 The name of the play was The Little Dog Laughed Dennis was bus1ness manager Ed was art dlrector Glenn was sound effects man, Don was property manager, and Jack was stage manager All the rest of the class were in the play We honored the Senior Class at the Junior Senior Banquet on May 3 1958 at the school study hall Our theme was Mardi Gras Later in the evening the grade school faculty, under classmen and other invited guests Joined us for the prom I A , , . .
