The Coyote spikers provided an unexpected delight for their fans when they won first place in the CPL Tournament after placing last the year before. They also made it to the semi finals of Sub-State before being eliminated by the team that went on to win the title. The girls ended the season in third place in the League and a 12-13 record with a lot of the losses coming from larger schools. On Parents' Night, the last home match of the season, the Senior players and their parents were honored. Also, Wanda Rathburn and Leland Floyd were presented with gifts from the team for all of their help and support. Volleyball - Girls Capture First At League 25

Since the start of the KHS football program, the Coyote players earned a right to compete in Sub-State playoffs for the second time. This year the Coyotes played Plainvtlle. loosing 0-6. The team shared the title of being co-champions of the Central Prairie League with Claflm. The seasonal record was indentical to the previous year, 7-3, but there was one difference. For the first time in nine years, the Coyotes beat the Ellmwood Eagles by a score of 19-7. Kinsley's two losses during regular season play came from Fowler (7-30) and Claflm (8 6) Seniors receiving recognition were: Scott Butler, defense; Marcus Carroll. Rene Danler and Teryl Rose, offense. Honorable Mention went to Rene Danler, Scott Dark. Keith Montgomery and Teryl Rose for defense. Other Seniors not recognized were Joe Cramer. Gerard Menard. David Oliphant. Brad Peterson and Lyle Schuette. 27
