Nine cheerleaders and thirty members made up the Pep Club for 1980-81. Their presence could be seen and heard at the sports activities. They were sponsored by Miss Diana Redger and Miss Pat Penland. The girls were kept busy making posters, selling stadium cushions at fooball games and working in the concession stand. Basketball and wrestling athletes were surprised with treats from their unknown locker pals. A money making project was held as was a covered dish supper. “Too Much Heaven was the theme choosen for Homecoming. Pep Club was in charge of decorating the auditorium for the morning assembly and St. Nicholas for the evening dance. Spirit Week was held at this time. Activities included inside out day. hat day. color day. overall day and dress up day. n

The KHS Drama Department presented Cheaper By the Dozen” by Frank Gilbreth and Ernestine Gilbreth Carey. The play was under the direction of Miss Joan Walkowiak. The play deals with a large family. The father, an efficiency expert, wants to make his family more efficient. The oldest daughter, Anne, is at the dating age and thinks her father's ideas are totally outrageous. Two programs were given, one at 10:00 a.m. on February 27, for the high school students, and the other given on February 28, in the evening for the public.
