You Are The Sunshine ut My Lite was the theme for Homecoming. A color theme of bright yellow, orange and green was used. Randy Westphal, a past graduate 01 KHS, was Master of Ceremonies. Crowning ceremonies were held during football halftime. Each queen candidate was driven around the field on a float. Drivers of the floats were: Arlyn Stiebe, Lloyd Kurth, Joe Herrmann and Mike Wilson. Each candidate was led onto the football field by her escort. Senior cheerleaders Alicia Rhorer and Chris Woolard pinned the traditional white mum on each of the candidates. Terri Garrett was crowned as homecoming queen. Mike Compton presented her with red roses and the traditional kiss. The red roses were carried by Amy Kline, the crow by Clayton Froetschner and the robe by Pep Club President, Karen Schuette. Queen Terri and King Mike reigned over the remaining portion of the football game and over the homecoming dance. Pep Club sponsored the dance and Bear Claw provided the music.
