When Classes Were in Session There Were Good Times Too! A Kevin Gleason tackled some difficult material with serious concentration. From Mr. Kingry's bandroom, Is it harder to toot or to tutor two (or three) tooters to toot? Advanced Oral Communications class provided weekly KHS-TV programs in the lunchroom, and though Debbie Laudick finds the meal more absorbing, all other eyes are on the screen. The subject is known only to them, but Scott Sparke, Mike Stegman, and Raymond Niel- son seem pleased with whatever news Jimmy Schroth and Terry Menard are telling. Cooking up a storm, as if convinced that the way to success is through the stomach, are cullinary 'experts', Lee Elliot and Kathy ▼ Kastner.

The high school journalism class received a charter to Quill and Scroll in the fall of 1972 and two students, Theresa VanNahmen and Daniel Schaller were initiated as individual members. Those two, along with Co-Editor, Donna Westphal (CENTER) display the charter. There Were Highlights to Hasten the Days Throughout the Year Mascot, Corky Coyote, made occasional spirit rousing visits from room to room on game days. Debbie Putter was Corky most of the year, but here Jan Katz took the roll. Randell Wagner and Bruce Green-------work together, help each other.. .like each other? Jonelle Fox and Dave Cornelius, as well as all other juniors, received class rings and subtly show them off. 14
