English Is The Basis Of All Learning With the introduction of a new class, creative writing, the English department at KHS is being built to bigger and better things. The students this year competed in journalism and speech contests and tournaments. This type of competitive activity combined with many long hours of classroom work made the year the success that it was. MR. RAINBOLT Creative Writing English 1 and IV MRS. They Serve Behind The Scenes The cooks who prepared many nutritious meals for the students and faculty are: Mrs. White, Mrs. Rose, Mrs. Werner, Mrs. Schroeter (head cook), and Mrs. Proberts. Language Students Exposed To Foreign Cultures In today's world it is important to be able to speak more than one language. KHS, in order to fill this need, offered two two of the more commonly spoken languages, French and Spanish. Cathy Anderson is KHS's nominee for National Council of Teachers of English Achievement Award. The nomination of Cathy will gain for her special attention from colleges and put her in competition for scholarships. Spanish and French classes add to the Christmas spirit by caroling in the halls.
