Cooks Mrs. Carothers, Mrs. Proberts, Mrs. Werner, Mrs. Proberts, Mrs. Schroeter, Mrs. Leith. Dai ly during the school year, six women come early to start preparations to feed the students of Kinsley High and Grade Schools. Under the supervision of Mrs. Schroeter, the food service personal undertook the responsibility of providing well-balanced, appetizing meals each day. Bus Drivers Custodians Mr. A. Smith, Mr. J. Smith, Mr. Ploger, Mr. Bieber, Mr. Blank, Mr. Proberts, Mr. Floyd. Mr. McSpadden, Mr. Husted, and Mr. Floyd are the maintenance crew that keep KHS in good repair. Their job is never ending and often thankless. Daily attention is given to keeping the buildings clean, but it is only a part of the custodians' task. They attend to building repair and are present for games and programs to assist with lighting or other services that might be needed. Mr. McSpadden and Mr. Husted 13

Student Teachers Mrs. McKay, Mr. Priest, Mrs. Ackerman Secretaries No school can be administered efficiently without a smoothworking office staff. Mrs. Sparke with the assistance of Mrs. Loren-zen (first semester) and Mrs. Welsch (last semester) is secretary to the superintendent, and Mrs. Headrick is secretary to the principal. These four with their thoroughness and ability make up such an office staff. In cooperation with St. Marys and Emporia Teachers College, we have had three student teachers at KHS in the English and industrial art departments. The Student Council undertook several projects this year under the leadership of their president, Mike Heit. Getting the stereo player in the cafeteria for music during the lunch period and the suspension of the dress code were the main ones.
