Prepare us for our Careers CLYDE HI EBERT has a full schedule teaching science, algebra, chemistry, and physics. He is sponsor of the Kays and the sophomore class. Here is a well trained person who does much to develop young voices as well as coaching others who wish to put their talents to the best advantage. This is MRS. FADONNA ANDERSON. WAYNE HOLMSTROM is the man with the golden arm, who leads us to success by his steady rhythmic beat. A director of praise-winning plays. MISS JESSIE LOSEY teaches freshman and junior English and helps her speech students learn to talk correctly by use of the familiar adage, 'Practice makes perfect. A Builder of Tomorrow’s fine arts and dreams. LOGAN GUFFEY is the sophomore sponsor and teaches crafts, woodworking, teneral shop, and mechanical rawing. MRS. ANNA MAE VORAN teaches junior high English and Kansas history. She is also a seventh grade sponsor. Better late than never are our bus drivers: Art Poison, Fred Strate, Howard Proberts, Nelson Barber, Wayne Phillips, Richard Dimmick, Clint welch, and Leland Floyd. Just sweeping along are our custodians, Henry Harman and Albert Carlson. To keep us HEALTHY, wealthy, and wise are our cooks, Mrs. Pearl Macy, Mrs. Mabel Schroeter, Mrs. Golda Busby. 5

tiilh I'iiliniic mill Skill unr TEACHERS LESLIE KILGORE is a senior sponsor who knows his business. He teaches math and is the curator of plants and animals of Kinsley High. To learn how to speak correctly is the reward of having MISS PEARL PETERIE for a teacher. She teaches English, Latin and journalism, ana is also sponsor of the Student Council and the senior class. WAYNE WINGO teaches American history. He is helping the young develop their bodies. Mr. Wingo is the junior high coach and sponsor of the junior class. MISS LAVINA TROTTER is the high school librarian and study hall teacher for the high school and junior high students. She also sponsors Kayettes. Promising young farmers are the results of HAROLD BLACKWELL’S vocational agriculture classes. He is the sponsor of the local F.F.A. chapter. MISS VIRGINIA RUSSELL, the home economics teacher, is a graduate of Kansas State College. She has the big job of be ing one of the junior class spon sors. DALE CARPENTER is football and basketball coach for the Kinsley Coyotes. He is kept busy teaching American government, social science, and world history. MISS DARLENE WEBB is kept busy as a bee teaching bookkeeping, shorthand, typing,and office practice. She is also the sponsor of the Pep Club and the yearbook. 4 FRANCIS RUSTY GATES is football and wrestling coach. He also teaches health and drivers training. He is one of the seventh grade sponsors. Trying to locate Mr. Gates when he is out with his would be drivers is a challenge to anyone.

BACK ROW: Connie Werner, president; Miss Pearl Peterie, sponsor; Pat Sibley, eighth grade; Mike Lewis, K Lettermen; Charles Nickels, sophomore class; Johnny Fisher, Kays; Gerald Sibley, sponsor. Ernest Oster, vice-president, NOT IN PICTURE. The Student Council is the governing body of Kinsley High School. The Student Council's first project this year was the first assembly which was the installation of Student Council officers. All the members attended the Student Council Conference at Haven. The Student Council plans the assembly programs we exchange with neighboring schools They also sponsor three social dances and trim the high school Christ-mas tree.
