1 As the years go by the echoes of our school life will grow fainter and fainter and then die away. Gone forever will be the routine of school life, the fun we had, and our small worries. Only when we look back to these days of living, working, and playing together, will we realize their true value. We give you this Kihischo to aid you in renewing the echoes of 1954. Council Sponsors Assemblies The Student Council was the student governing body of the high school. One of their big projects was sponsoring a student mixer and a watermelon feed the second week of school. They also sponsored Twirp Season and a Twirp Dance in the spring. The council planned all assemblies during the year. Money was raised by selling concessions at ball games. Other activities included attending conference, decorating the school Christmas tree, and a dinner for the members in the spring. The white mum was chosen as our class flower while lavendar and white became our class colors. As a supplement to our class rings, several of our members purchased class pins during our senior year. Perhaps our greatest thrill came on March 30, when forty-one of our forty-three members journeyed to Wichita for our Sneak Day. We were accompanied by our two sponsors, Miss Pearl Peterie and Mr. Stanley Beans. For six years, the majority of our class has struggled together toward our goal of graduation. The rest joined our ranks along tne way. The team, composed of almost all seniors, began its winning streak with Larned, defeating them 25 to 12. Kinsley then went on to defeat Ulysses, tie the undefeated Lewis team, then to defeat Cimarron, St. Mary, Greensburg, Macks-ville, and St. John. Their only loss came as the last game of the season when they lost to the very strong Stafford team. A score of 58-0 gave Kinsley a very successful Homecoming on October 23 against Macksville.
