SPIRIT WEEK Spirit Week, once again successfully sponsored by the Student Council, was highlighted by some hearty competition between classes as well as some unexpected upsets. Competing in six cate- gories — costume, hall decor, class chain, pep rally wall, pep rally spirit, and class float — the juniors took the lead early in the week only to be ousted by the seniors in the final float competi- tion. Nevertheless, all classes were winners in the costume contest: Freshmen — punk and western days. Sophomores — dress-up and occupation days, Juniors — food and garbage bag days, Sen- iors — backwards and baby days concluding with a day of Blue, Gold, White, and Green. Leslie Mills flashes a prize-winning smile. The green-tinted Roman Liz Joseph awaits the victory of her Senior Spirit chain.
