These courses have been added to allow students to enroll in a course of special interest to them. The accent of home economics is definitely for the student. Additional courses are under consideration in the area of vocational home economics, so that every Kingswood student will have the opportunity to gain vocational as well as general skills' in the areas of home economics. Junior high cho- rus and the stage band were suc- cessful, and the participating stu- dents were enthusiastic. The realm of art is limited only by the imagination. Its tools are basic - old as time - modern as technology. Creative ability becomes a balance between patience, insight and personal criticism. History provides the mis- takes, the answers, and the raw Material for discovery. The art department can provide most of these. Skill, comes with time and personal initiative!

Mrs. Barbara Zulauf The Social Studies Departmenfs . . . basic aim is the graduation of students who will be responsible citizens. We believe that in a changing world, basic knowledge and fundamental skills last longer than any other kind. Therefore, the social studies is con- cerned with the development of inquiry skills, the development of attitudes and values, and the acquisition of knowledge.
