RAYMOND J. DUNN, JR. “Ray's” career at Kingswood com menced in the Third Form. In that year he swung into sports with Second Team Soccer, Hockey, and Intermediate Baseball. The following year found “Raymie” on the First Soccer Team, again on the Hockey Team and follow ing closely behind the “eight'ball” in the spring. As a hard fighting full back, Ray more than earned his “K” in soccer last year. The Choir, greatly in need of members, found an outstand ing one when Ray gave his talents to a most important and worthwhile cause. Among other important obligations last year, Ray managed to attend and to make advancement in the Math club. This year was marked by noteworthy accomplishments. For the sec ond consecutive year Ray won his letter for soccer, doing much to bring success to his team. Because of unfavorable hockey weather, Ray had very little chance to prove his worth on ice. In the spring he again turned to baseball and all its glory. One of the most distinguished honors that Kingswcx)d has to offer was bestowed on Ray this year, when he was made a Prefect. The T cws Board welcomed “R. J.” this year, not as another name in the “Spotlight” column, but as an “ace” reporter. Ray will long remem ber his tedious experience in trying to get an interview with Paul White man at Bushnell Memorial. Ray enjoys the Photography Club, and finds amateur photography a fascinating and interesting pastime. His modesty in regard to the fairer sex leads us to be lieve he is quite a favorite with them. Yet, “Shirley”, we all agree that “the man who blushes is not quite the brute” or “Em i ly ing?” Ray is headed for Trinity and then M. I. T. With him go our best wishes for still greater success. His friends at Kingswood are numerous; his pleasing personality and genial manner of mix- ing have made him a friend to all. 14

JOHN M. DEMING “John” came to us in the Fourth Form, and through his ability and pep sistence has made a fine record both in studies and school activities. Not pap ticularly proficient in athletics, John has diverted his energy into other channels, managing to shoot well enough to join the Rifle Team in his Fourth Form year, and keeping his grades so well as to at' tain Honor Roll rank repeatedly in the past three years. This year John was the Manager of the Rifle Team, Assignment Editor for the :ws, a member of the Choir, where his fine bass voice was invalu' able, and also belonged to the Math' ematics Club. In his spare moments he could be seen tidying up the Sixth Form classroom, for he was a class monitor as well. Although not a member of the Photography Club, Jack is a “candid camera” fan. When not out driving in his “black streak”, he is generally meandering about snapping pictures of Farmington's “spots” of beauty. During the summer he “burns up” the watery “highway” of Long Island Sound in his racing boat, occasionally swamping canoes of the fairer sex, During many of the fine spring afternoons, John might often have been seen corralling ads for the Class Book or slicing golf balls at the Farmington Golf Course. He had exceptional skill at procuring ads. After a busy summer ranging from an automobile trip North to adventure on the high seas, John plans to enter Princeton next fall, where we hope he will be as successful as he has been at Kingswood. so that he can rescue them. 13

LENNOX C. FOGG, JR. “Misty” entered Kingswood in the Third Form and soon became distin' guished in athletics, being a member of the Second Baseball and Soccer Teams in both his freshman and his sophomore years. He also played hockey during his first three years here. “Lennie” has been a member of the Choir for four years, lending his lusty voice to the bass section. In his junior year “Foggy” joined the Hews board in the capacity of As' sistant Circulation Manager. Because of his talent and faithful service he was elected Business Manager the next year. During the past two years, “Len” has been a mainstay on the First Soccer Team, earning his letter both years. This year he was elected a Prefect, which is one of the highest honors that a Kingswood boy can obtain. Len is a rabid “fiend” for jazz music, the mere note of a trumpet being enough to start him “swaying.” He is also a great golf player, spending the greater part of every summer on the links, although last summer he spent a month at Fort Devens and is expecting to do the same thing again this summer. This spring “Foggy” did an excellent job as manager of the First Base' ball team, earning a major “K”. His ability to make the “kids” of the neighborhood chase fly balls was little short of amazing. Len’s other activities include his service as one of the Business Man' agers of the Class Book, and he did occasionally manage to show up at Mathematics Club in his junior year. Next year “Foggy” is headed for the University of Pennsylvania and hopes to attend the Wharton Sch(x l of Finance with three other members of the Senior Class. If his record at Kingswood is any indication, we all feel sure he will be very successful in the future. 15
