'X-.N F P FCDRW RD A yearbook is a thread which connects our past to our future. The theme of this yearbook is the very romantic Medieval Period - our past. The pictures capture past victories, failures, friendships, and laughter. But for the Class of 1987, it also represents a door closing on child- hood years and a new beginning toward a rather uncertain future. We, the editors of the yearbook, wish to ded- icate this yearbook to the graduating class and wish them all the happiness and success life has to offer. This book is the product oflove, dedication, and many months of hard work. Toni and I could never have done it without the help of Rajeev Vaidyanathan, Lora Dempsey, Jana Spence, Mrs. Pelleriti, Mrs. Pollicino, Mrs. Schindel, and all those who worked on the art. We hope that in future years when you look at this yearbook you will remember with nostal- gia some of the happiest moments of your life.

DEDICATIC 3, it ,M . X . Mr. Thomas R. Yourison has also been an integral part of Kingsway for the past twenty years. His subdued demeanor belies a strong forceful character. ln class he exhibits perfect control, from his arm movements to his voice. He rarely raises his voice or loses his temper, which is possibly a manifesta- tion of his time in the Marines. He has an amazing knack to interact with students, relating his feelings and ideals in a dovm-to-earth, friendly nature. lt is with pride that we, the class of '87 appreciate Mr. Yourison for his time, his warmth, and his genuine caring. Mr. Yourison lives in Harrison Tovxmship with his wife and two sons. He enjoys his . . association with students. That's what makes teaching most rewarding and challenging. He believes that the epitome of a Kingsway student is most re- spectful, friendly, and interested in self- improvement. He would like to Uelaborate and elucidate, meaning to expand and make clear, his love of teaching. l'You wouldn't put in twenty years unless you really felt good about it. Summer vac- tation refreshes one after nine months, and you're ready to return in September. Mr. Yourison's relaxed attitude and calm bearing have endeared him to many students. lf you take the time to listen to Mr. Yourison you will learn not only history, but to appreci- ate the man himself. 4 3 Mr. William V. Moore has been teaching history at Kingsway for the last twenty-odd years. He won't tell us which years were the odd ones. His devotion to his students, his caring, paternal attitude, his patronizin- gly acerbic repartees, and his delightful sense of hu- mor engender him as a deeply appreciated, re- spected, and loved teacher. Mr. Moore lives in Clayton with his wife and two children. He enjoys 'lthe young people of Kingsway and says the students are decent, concerned about themselves, and have a healthy desire to learn. We have a motivated, respectful student body. l love it, because we get new perceptions on old ideas, and kids challenge the old, well-defunct concepts. As any of his students will vouch, Mr. Moore makes learning enjoyable. He creates a lively, ener- getic atmosphere wherein are discussed such topics as the morality of warp why the Japanese are beat- ing the U.S. in world trade, the pros and cons ofsocial- ism, communism, and capitalism: and the excitement that is George Bush. Mr. Moore's definition of l'luck is when prepara- tion meets opportunity. lt's little wonder why stu- dents adore such an optimistic man. SHN.,
