PPRECIATIO As the class of 1987 passes from Kingsway into an uncertain but promising future, we look back and pay tribute to those who worked so hard and unselfishly for the success of this graduating class. lt is our opinion that ho one deserves such tribute more than Mrs. Ann Gress. During her four and a half years tenure as class advisor, our class was responsible for many fund raisers and other activities re- sulting in an unprecedented string of prize winning floats, murals, and hall decorations, which provided hours of fun for all involved. Due to her talents and organizational skills, coupled with our re- sources, we held first place for two consecutive years for the Egyp- tian Pyramid and Masters of the Universe mural themes in the Homecoming competition. She also was instrumental in arranging many ofour dances and laying down the foundations ofa successful Prom. Apart from class advisor, Ann Ciress was also the advisor to the Modeling Club, Writers' Club, Drama Club and dance choreogra- pher for the school musical. Mrs. Gress accepted a teaching position at Kingsway after grad- uating from the University of Pittsburgh, and was then awarded a graduate assistantship at Penn State University. At Penn State, she received outstanding leadership awards and completed the course work of two master's degrees in the time it would take to complete one. Mrs. Cxress competed in approximately sixty scholarship and talent competitions and won fifty-seven. We feel fortunate to have had such an outstanding personality for our class advisor, and wish her well in whatever she does. One and a half years ago, the class of 1987 was a ship with no captain, desperately in need of a class advisor. Mrs. Yoder, despite her already demanding position as the Stu- dent Council advisor, unselfishly took on this responsibility at the helm. She then proceeded to guide us through most of our Prom preparations and labored to make our Senior year one that shall be fondly remembered by all. Regardless of what task had to be done or what plans needed to be made, Mrs. Yoder saw to it that all activities were carefully organized and carried out with perfection. Her lead- ership and knack to recognize class leaders added to the smoothness with which our class glided through this final year at li.R.H.S. Mrs. Yoder shall be remembered by all, whether she was taking a head count in Florida or at the picnic, trying to keep her patience with those owing dues from seventh grade, or as a good friend. Lynn Yoder was many things to many people and will be sorely missed by the members of the Class of 1987. lt is to this hard-working, dedicated, understanding, and loving woman that we extend our greatest appreciation to along with our many thanks and a big hug. We shall always cherish the memory of her determination and kindness.
