UEUIE TIUN Mr. Norman Velykis The LANCER Staff and the Class of 1986 wish to dedicate the 1985-86 yearbook to Mr. Norman Velykis for his many years of service at Kingsway Regional High School. Mr. Velykis was born in Woodbury, New Jersey and attended Paulsboro High School. He was in the United States Air Force for four years and worked for Mobil Oil Corporation for two years. He then attend- ed Temple University on a full Athletic scholarship and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree. After graduating he taught at Clayton High School and the Swedesboro Elementary School. He also coached baseball, football, and basketball at Swedesboro High School. When King- sway opened in 1963, Mr. Velykisjoined the staff as a health and physical education teacher. He was also the Dean of Students. In 1970 Mr. Velykis attended Graduate School at Glassboro State College, and received his Master's Degree. At the same time he became Vice-principal of Kingsway. ln 1973 he became principal and served this position until his retirement. He is married to the former Margaret Dellaretta and has one son, Ted, also a member of the graduating Class of 1986. Mr. Velykis has given his service to Kingsway for the Q3 years that it has been open. We, the staff of the LANCER find it an honor to dedicate this yearbook to Mr. Norman Velykis for his dedicated service to King- sway for these 23 years. THANK YOU!!!!

FlF'FFlEE.'IFI TIUN i Ms. Kimberly VanZoeren Five years ago Ms. Kimberly VanZoeren accepted the task of advisor for the Class of 1986. During those early years, graduation seemed distant with many fund raisers, events, and hurdles to overcome. Despite the difficulties, Ms. VanZoeren with firm dedication successfully coordinated fund raisers and other activities. Because of her expert guidance the Prom was no less successful than the Florida trip or the Senior Picnic. These events will remain in the memories of many and in the years to come looked back with great fondness. As the Class of 1986 graduates, they would like to take this moment to offer their sincere appreciation to Ms. Kimberly VanZoernen. Her dedication and hard work did not go unappreciated. i
