Schlump. 6-2-1 - Best ecard Yet The 1980 Dragon football team posted a record of5-4, the first winning record at Kingswayusince 1971. The 1981 Dragons began this year's season striving to better last year's record and with aspirations of gaining the Tri-County crown. Supported by the enthusiastic fans who crowded the stadium every week, the Dragons thrilled their followers with a 6-2-l record, the best ever at K.R.H.S. On offense, the Dragons presented a balanced attack featuring Burlingame's pin-point passing, agile Avsec's running, and bruising blocks supplied by the offensive line. The defense was awesome each week, recording three shut- outs, and holding the other opponents to low scores. Many of Barchuck's warriors were honored by being selected as outstandingiin their positions. Chris Avsec and Greg Burlingame were chosen as first teams Tri-County and South Jersey Group I All-Stars. Greg received additional recognition by being named to the All South Jersey and All-Delaware Valley first teams. Mark Lail was named to the first team Tri-County All-Stars. Joe Dellaquilla won positions on Tri-County and South Jersey second teams. Tom Edmund and Mike Brown won recognition by their selection on the Tri-County All-Star team. Dave Eason, Ken Hunt and John Diggs won honorable mention for All-Star teams. 8
