Brenda Elaine Lalko is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Mike Lalko. She is our ninth ranking senior with a 3.187 average. She has been active in band, choir, annual staff, and St. Council. Her future plans are to attend C.M.U. Our tenth ranking senior is Robert Bruce Miller who has compiled a 2.838 average. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Mil- ler. He has been active in all sports since he has been in high school. Bob's future plans are to get a job so he can go to col- lege later. NINTH Brenda Lalko TENTH Bob Miller On Monday March 10, 1969, the fourth annual induction of the National Honor Society took place. Ten members were inducted along with one honorary member. The eleven standing members are: Dale Allen, Alice Chantiny, Lynda Conely, Cathy Galubenski, Doris King, Carol Rayl, Sandra Bragg, Robert Miller, Shelly Schwaderer, Norma Simmons, and Donald Trzemzalski. The new inductees are: Nancy Chappel, Lyall Henderson, Brenda Lalko, Ellen Moore, Albert Ross, Evelyn Schmuhl, Ruth Spear, Debbie Trzemzalski, Mary Ann Wilkinson, and Francis Wo- lak. Ulrich Scheuermann, our exchange student from Germany was inducted as an honorary member. The teachers who are National Honor Society members participated in the program. Mr. James Czargo vouched for the inductees, Miss Marcy Lunberg presented certificates and Mrs. Jacquelin Opperman administered the oath. Mr. Jerome Schwartz, Principal was the Mas- ter of Ceremonies. Sandy Bragg gave a short history of the Chapter, while Doris King spoke on Character, Alice Chantiny on Scholarship, Cathie Galubenski on Leadership and Bob Miller on Service. These four qualities being the basis of selection for National Honor Society. The Kingston Chapter of the National Honor Society was founded February 21, 1966 with the help of the Cass City Chapter. The last two charter members graduate this year. They are Cathie Galubinski and Alice Chantiny. Teachers nominate students for the National Honor So- ciety, then the committee appointed by the sponsors of the Society interviews each candidate. Selections are made on the basis of LEADERSHIP, SCHOLARSHIP, CHARACTER AND SERVICE. 20

and Following Eight Cathy Linn Parker is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Geroge Parker. Since she has been here, she has been active in cheer- leading, F.H.A. yearbook staff, St. Council, and journalism. Her future plans are to go to Jackson, and maybe travel. Evelyn Sue Schmuhl is the daughter of Mrs. Helen Schmuhl. Evelyn has been ac- tive in St. Council, band, and Y.F.C. She was also secretary of the St. Council. Her future plans are to attend C.M.U. THIRD Cathy Parker FOURTH Evelyn Schmuhl Alice Chantiny is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harm Chantiny. She has attended Kingston since she started school. Alice plans on going to college or the women's branch of the service, then later . . . mar- riage. Lois R. Walls is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Rex Walls. Since she started school, she has been very active. To attend M.S.U. and perhaps travel are Lois's plans for the future. FIFTH Alice Chantiny SIXTH Lois Walls Rochelle C. Snover is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Snover. She was born on May 27, 1952. Shelly has compiled a 3.296 average in her three yrs. in high school. Her future plans are to go on to Beauty school next fall. Sandra D. Bragg is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Bragg. She has been very active in school with different clubs and offices.
