Presenting Our Honor Students Doris King, who has compiled a 3.864 grade point average and has won the honor of being the 1969 Valedictorian, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert King. Kingston High has been the only school that Doris has ever attended. During her high school years she has been active in the Student Council for four years, two years in the National Honor Society, one year in the Drama Club, and four years in Youth For Christ. Spring Arbor College is where Doris plans on furthering her education. She has hopes of majoring in Psychology and Chemistry. After completing college, Doris plans on being a Y.F.C. director so she can work with teenage youth. Valedictorian Doris King Salutatorian Cathie Galubenski Cathie Galubenski, who has compiled a 3.695 grade point average is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Galuben- ski. Kingston High School has been the scene of her education. While in high school she has been the secretary of her class in her junior and senior year, president of the Future Home- makers' of America, and a member for two years, a Na- tional Honor Society member since it started at Kingston in 1966, and an office assistant for the past two years. Saginaw Business School is where Cathie plans on taking a Receptionist Typist course. Cathie is remembered as one of the Homecoming Queen candidates. 18

Hey Ole This phrase refers to our first exchange student. Ole is staying with Mr. and Mrs. Carlyl Everett. Ulrich Scheuermann was born on January 4, 1952. He is the second son of Heinrich and Maria Elisabeth Scheuermann. Ole's home address is 6081 Biekesheim, Albert Schwatzer Str. 2. His father is a teacher of science and math. Mrs. Scheuermann is a housewife. Ole has two sisters; Marlene--21 who is a teacher of Home Economics, Annerose--10. His older brother Siegbert age 20 is a sailor of the German merchant marine. In past years, Ole has taken 7 yrs. of math and German, 6 yrs. of English and Religion, 5 yrs. of Latin, Physics and social studies, 4 yrs. of Biology, Chemistry, History and Art, plus 3 yrs. of music. This year he is taking U.S. Government, Am. Hist., Sociology, Economics, College Prep, Landscaping, Choir, and Journalism. Ole's extracurricular activities at K.H.S. include football, Y.F.C. and the senior play. Very good. I like it was his comment on playing football. Ole was recently accepted to the National Honor Society as an honorary member. He has enjoyed his stay here very much. 17

and Following Eight Cathy Linn Parker is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Geroge Parker. Since she has been here, she has been active in cheer- leading, F.H.A. yearbook staff, St. Council, and journalism. Her future plans are to go to Jackson, and maybe travel. Evelyn Sue Schmuhl is the daughter of Mrs. Helen Schmuhl. Evelyn has been ac- tive in St. Council, band, and Y.F.C. She was also secretary of the St. Council. Her future plans are to attend C.M.U. THIRD Cathy Parker FOURTH Evelyn Schmuhl Alice Chantiny is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harm Chantiny. She has attended Kingston since she started school. Alice plans on going to college or the women's branch of the service, then later . . . mar- riage. Lois R. Walls is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Rex Walls. Since she started school, she has been very active. To attend M.S.U. and perhaps travel are Lois's plans for the future. FIFTH Alice Chantiny SIXTH Lois Walls Rochelle C. Snover is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Snover. She was born on May 27, 1952. Shelly has compiled a 3.296 average in her three yrs. in high school. Her future plans are to go on to Beauty school next fall. Sandra D. Bragg is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Bragg. She has been very active in school with different clubs and offices.
