INITIATION On October 8, 1968, the freshmen class were initiated into high school. The initiation began at 7:30 P.M. in the gym. There were different events that the sophomores made the fresh- men do for their initiation. Among these were the onion race, in which they had to pass it under their chin and if they dropped it, they had to take a bite. Another event was picking up lifesavers off the ground with a toothpick. The third event was finding a cherry in a bowl of whip cream. Another was putting their hands in a bowl of liver and guess what it was. The last one was a bicycle race on tri- cycles. Following the initiation was a dance in the gym, which was enjoyed by all. 16
