My classes have given me the academic background needed for suc- cess. Athletics has taught me the importance of competition and team work. Extracurricular activities have taught me how to use my talents in achieving practical goals. These three things have all enhanced my education. l thank everyone involved for the opportunities they have given me and l hope l can make them proud. - Dan Kessler lt is said that a person's high school years are the greatest of one's life. I believe and live this statement totally. l was involved in many school activities from lacrosse and basketbail to big brothers and the Varsity Club. l enjoyed being involved in community projects and helping needy people. lt made me feel good. The friends l've made here l wiil always remember, and my memories ot Kings Park are ones which i will never forget. l would like to take the time to thank all the people who have made my time here so special, and wish them the best of luck for the future. -Ftich Kincaid A recipe for a fulfilling high school career, Mix: . 3 years of 2 spcrtsg 1 championship, 1 playoff, 2 League All-Starg 1 Art Snelder's Awardg 50 teammates, with: Clown Club, Special Olympicsg Big Brother Program: Memorial Day, Veterans Cemetaryg Smithtown Project, Varsity Clubg Hospital Visits, nice people, and BLEND with: BOCES Marine Biology campg Fiadio City Music Christmas,Showg Educational Trips... ...to get a great educational experience. . i -Jim Knott Three years of living and learning are drawing to a close. Looking back, the days ,seemed to slip away so quickly. They were filled with special memories: the best of times as well as the experiences too palntui to remember, but too painful to forget . Now theyiare becoming a part of our past. The heatless winters, the poor excuse for a parking lot, and the calculus l never really learned will fade into oblivion as time goes on, but the people who made these years so special will remain locked in my memory forever. I hope that everyone will have their chance to live, learn, and find their dreams. y j y j j 'L A S -Aileen Lee My three years at Kings Park high School seem to be One big blur Q but certain images keep popping up in my head...cheering at basketball games, going to my first football party, taking T the dreaded SAT's, decorating for dances, and so many more. So many special memories, too many to recount that are too good to forget. l would like to thank all the people who made these memories possible - friends, advisors, teachers, coaches, and administrators. Thank- you for being a part of my life and giving me all your help and support. g , , -Archana Pradhan lf you've ever read Antoine de St. Exupery's The Little Prince, you might remember how the prince talks about how sweet it is to look at the starsat night because he loves a flower that lives on a star. Translated, this means that when something in life is very special to you, a mere symbol of it can bring back the best of memories. So wherever I go, l think that whenver I see the color maroon or the number 88 , l'll instantly remember all the great things about KPHS, especially our grade. For the word outstanding doesn't just apply to people on this page, it describes the entire class, the facuity, KP, and a few of the most amazing years of our lives. ' 'NEHG pl'USl'l9l' Good luck to all of you! We have accomplished a great deal, and we can all be proud of that. Let's never forget the good times we had at Kings Park High School. Hold on to the memories of the times we shared, and enjoy your life to the fullest. And always believe in yourself, for you can accomplish anything. i -Dawn Sherman Our high school years are quickly coming to an end. Looking back, l realize that high school can only be what one makes of it. The goals we have accomplished, the obtacles we have overcome, and the friendships we have shared will be a partof us forever. However, these friendlships extend beyond those that we share with our peers. The friendships l have shared with teachers, counselors, and coaches, have been an important part of these years. I would like to thank them for their support and guidance. l wish everyone the best of luck! -Tina Zuppa These students were chosen by the faculty lor their outstanding combination ol academics, athletics and extracurricular activities. . ,. Most people think their classes are not very interestingg but I have found that the teachers here do their best to make learning a better experience than-just teaching from textbooks. If somebody disagrees, ask them to attend Mr. I3's English class or Mrs. Schoch's physics class for a day. I'm sure they will change their opinion about school not being fun. I am very happy that I had the opportunity to learn in that kind of atmosphere. g -Rob Carey I am very honored to have been recognized as an Outstanding Senior. I have gone through 12 years of schooling in Kings Park and have enjoyed each year. The fact that I am dyslexic has made me try even harder to help people. I enjoy volunteering at St. John's Hospital each Thursday and as President of SADD, feel that I am doing something positive for my fellow classmates. It is good to get involved in school activities as much as you are able, I urge all students to find something to do for your school and communityg you will feel extremely rewarded. I -Aimee Beth Colgan Being chosen an Outstanding Senior out of an entire grade of outstanding seniors is quite an honor for me. The Class of '88 has been an important part of my life these past four years. Together, we have accomplished many things. No other grade can compare to Our Class of '88...Kings Park spirit has shone through in everything we've done. It is going to be difficult saying a final goodbye to KPHS, a place that has been my second home for some time. But, keep in mind, the best is yet to come for us all. Good luck in the future...and l'II be seeing you at those reunions! -Laurie Costa Kings Park has really been a great place to grow up. I am glad to have experienced many of the activities that Kings Park has offered, both inside and outside of school. I know that next year when I go off to college that I will have a host of good memories to cherish of Kings Park by. -Missy Feigelson Through my experiences at Kings Park High School and in the community, I have learned that if the student body is behind a program, it will not fail. The successful students at Kings Park High School have always relied on the support of their peers. To me the greatest challenge of all is taking an idea to the student body and getting them to support it. -Howard Friedman So many memories and friends were madeg all to be left behind. But memories of the events we shared will always remain in my mind. The long hard hours to cheer or rehearse: the meetings we held faithfully will always be an important part of my memory. I'd like to thank my friends, my family and the faculty, And I hope everyone can also be proud of their accomplishments at KP. y I , -Josephine Gallarello Ten years of working hard at soccer has paid off. My high school career has been exceptionally rewarding, as I was on the 1987 Empire State Team, made the all-County team, as well as the Exceptional Senior team of Suffolk. Especially rewarding was being a member of the Kings Park HS. team that made the county play-offs. Participation in Lacrosse, indoor track, the Big-Brother program, Varsity Club, Special Olympics, radio show, Toys for-Tots, all contributed tota terrific experience. s My goal is to attend West Point and my memories will be about Kings Park High School. -Dierk Hohman Outstanding Seniors ' -O . - Q :Sb Q, ., if l i I - '33-f I' .
