This years, they Board gave support to the family of the late Michael Foster during -the Christmas season. f'Ol'lC97r-if again this year, the Student Council sponsored the Building L Bridges program at the Psychi- atric Center. eading the Way. On October 1, a future president of the United States may have been si- titng in our senior cafeteria. On this date, the student council hosted its second annual leadership conference. ln attendance were twenty-three schools from all over Suttolk and Naus- sau counties, including John Glenn, William Floyd and Ward Melville . The program was directed by Ms. Eleana Zongrove ot the state education de- partment. She started oft the day with a game called Hlcebreakerf' The name says it all, it was an activity that helped all the students to get acquainted and feel comfortable with each other. The purpose of the whole event was to evince the leadership potential within all ot us. Through various activities, student leaders are taught skills that will help them promote school spirit and unify their respective student bod- ies. The day ended with a discussion concerning motivational theme. right Night ITS THE GREAT PUMPKIN CHARLIE BROWN: Becoming the first survivor of a full scale pumpkin avalanche is Joel Rosenthal. HALLOWEEN PART XX: The Honor Soci- ety gathers to scare local youths. Halloween was capped off by the ghosts, goblins witches and bats that attended the high school's annual community par- ty. ln this multitude of masquer- ade over 700 children helped to raise approximately 35350.00 to be contributed to the Ronald Mc- Donald House in Queens. The en- tire evening provided spook - filled entertainment for children of all ages. lt was the Honor Society that set up the ever popular Haunted l-louse.
