The unexpectedly large turnout added to the excitement of the long awaited night. The music was fabulous and the energetic cou- ples danced up a storm. 150 'CIIAXSS 'Ulf 'SS TIAUIKIES 'UWIIHIQ IBDSTFUN lt all started when the class of '88 had the desire to do something differ- ent. t'An overnight class trip? ques- tioned skeptics. Hit will NEVER hap- pen! But determined students proved them wrong. The then juniors achieved the seemingly impossible, the Board of Education approved a weekend excur- sion to Boston. On Saturday, lvlay 30, eighty stu- dents and ten chaperones arrived at the school. Unfortunately, the buses did not. Students made the best of the situation by camping out in the school lobby to beat the heat and catch some extra zzzz's. Many called it a miracle when one un-airconditioned bus ar- rived tive hours later. Anxious to see the exciting and historical city of Bos- ton, the weary but eager travellers agreed to sweat out the bus ride to NYC to join another bus. Ninety seemed to be the unlucky number of the day, ninety people on a ninety minute bus ride in ninety degree temperatures could put a damper on just about anyone's day. When they finally reached the hotel, shrieks of laughter were heard as many innocent travellers found undergar- ments belonging to friends ot the op- posite sex in their suitcases. lvtost of them were put their via the hands of certain mischievous bagcheckers. While some students were calling home to find out their SAT scores, oth- ers plunged into the hotel's pool for a fun-filled night of chicken fights and Let's Throw The Teacher In. Crazy string, shaving cream, and ice fights were also some ot the highlights of the evening. Bright and early Sunday morning, the tourists set out to see the beautiful sights of Boston, which included the USS Constitution, the Old North Church, the Christian Science lviuse- um, and Quincy lvlarket!Fanuel Hall. Although many students facetiously swore to never board a bus again, it was clear that each and every traveller would not trade the memories of their exciting weekend for anything in the world. Boston l if PLEASANTLY SUBPBISED: to discover that NYC is not the only place dirty with graffitti are Eddie Ecker, Wendi Fiubenfeld, Greg Kunz, Alyson Elish and Laura Reilly. SAY CHEESE! Taking a break from their tour, the visitors pose for a group photo. BOMBS AWAY! Combing aboard are Mi- chele Pierno, Teresa llacgua, Ilene Prusher, Laurie Costa, Jeannine DiSilvestre, Kelly Dempsey, and Ericka Pegler. if li r .. T W eston t in ft WZ
