The student council made going back to school a little less painful this year with the Back to School Bash. This was a party thrown in the main gym to officially close the summer re- cess. The dance was a tremendous success with equal numbers of sopho- mores, juniors and seniors. Even the teachers seemed to be enjoying them- selves as they were seen rockin' and rollin' to the of music of such stars as David Bowie and Bill Haley and the Comets. Tunes from the fifties were re- ceived with as much enthusiasm as were new wave and pop music. When old favorites such as Shout were played, the dance floor became packed: everyone tried to get into the action. When the final hour rolled around there were groans of ls it real- ly over so soon?
