CLASS PROPHECY Key West, Florida June 15, 1962 Dear Mrs. Taylor 1,m in the navy now and I was just transferred from Los Angeles to Wey West. I was quite surprised to find my classmates scattered from shore to shore. Being a nurse, and also not wanting to stay in the navy forever, I kept a pretty close eye on hospitals here and there. On my first stop, who should I run into at Las Vagus, except Evelyn Oswalt, looking as slim and pretty as ever, consequently, she is not married yet, as most of our classmates are. Jane Smith is working 7-3 in Denver, Colorado, then running to a model job until six. She's Mrs. Bob Lowery now. I stopped in San Antonio to see Billie Jo Ruckaby and her husband. They are happily married, no children but lots of cows. From San Antonio I went down to New Orleans for a look at Ole Charityl' where Sarah Mills is working. Joann Haynes is married and has a home on Baron Street. Mae Moore has a special job on the President', from 8-12. Some people get sea sick you know. Peggy Walley has her degree and is in charge of the Hattiesburg Hospital. Dorothy Oswalt is married and living in Jackson. She is doing some private duty when her little football players will permit. , W,v. I came to Greenville to see my sister, Jayne Cummings. She has four adorable red- haired boys. She told me that Rexie Hitchcock and Mary Alice Davidson are still in Greenville. Mary Alice is married. Faye Mayo and Yvonne Welch decided Arkansas was for them. Both are married and working in Pine Bluff. I went from Greenville to Kilmicheal to see Shirley Cooper. Sheis married but working at Montgomery County Hospital. Retha Mitchell is an Air Force Flight nurse. Every day she goes to Hawaii. Dolly Palmertree is living in Holly Bluff, Mississippi. I understand her husband is superintendent of schools there. I always knew some of our class would be psychiatric nurses. Elsie Pearl Flowers and Lillian Emory are working at Malcom-Bliss in St. Louis. I had car trouble in Mississippi and had to take to air, flying Southern Air Lines and to my surprise I found Carol Chambliss and Regina Wacht hostesses. Mildred Persons, most likely to succeed, really succeeded. She lives in Orlando and is the mother of triplets. Mildred informed me that Bobbie Wells was also in Florida. She is taking care of the Dodger's injuries during spring training. I must be closing now. I think all of our class turned out well.
