EPIL O GUE Part of Moving Onward means being gratejitl for the precious gift of life with its limitless possibilities. To glory in the power of human beings is to rise to great heights and to outdo themselves in miraculous works. Moving Onward is imagination. Imagination, said Einstein, is more poweiftl than knowledge. Our imagination becomes for us a magic lamp with which we can explore the darkness of the unknown that we may chart new paths to old goals. Caves, sod huts, log cabins, hammers, nails, steel girders swinging through space, and skyscrapers against the skyline. Strange hieroglyplzics, carvings on walls of ancient temples, discovery of paper, Gutenburg, slavery, whipping posts, the Bill of Rights, then the awakening of the human spirit and the vision of j7'eedom and the brotherhood of man. Clubs, bows and arrows, fire and catapults, gunpowder, artillery, bombing planes, and then the splitting of the atom making man a titan with the power to destroy civilization or to take a great leap forward in human progress. Man lzeld back by tyrants, dark ages, ignorance, fear, economic disaster and war, yet ultimately breaking the shackles and marching forward to the music of his greater destiny. We as the leaders of tomorrow must always hold our torches high, we must always be Moving Onward. Man alone, of all creatures of earth, can change his own pattern. Man alone is architect of his destiny. So to the students at King's College in 1970, we have the challenge of tomorrow in our hands today. We must always be Moving Onward. . .
