Q l o ff'-S 4 l 'Guia TFALISMAN Mother and Daughter Banquet Une of the most outstanding features of the Girl Reserves was the Mother and Daughter hanquet on May 14, The color scheme was purple, lavendar and gold. The principal feature was Mrs. Baymiller who gave a review of Edna Ferher's So Big . There were forty mothers and daughters present. lt was followed hy a short husiness meeting. zip!!! The Seniors all :imved school May Zo. They went to Mineral Springs, Pekin. Twenty'one were there. Boating and hasehall were enjoyed hy hoth the girls and the hoys. Everyone sang while Marjorie accompanied on her uke. The teachers were good sports and culprits received a sunhurn as their only punishment. I i Senior Slurnbers The Senior girls had one of the hest parties of the year at their Slumher Party. lt was heid May 311, at Marjorie Phelps hotne. Midnight lunch was served and late hreakfast. All were quite warm hecause of the hot pajamas. School Picnic On -lune 6, there was the largest picnic of the season. Every girl and hoy in the high and grade schools and their parents attended the picnic. There were many games played and races were run. All enjoyed themselves immensely and there was plenty I0 vat. TCINHS. ladlsvlizlll. hoating. Slltglllg. and races filled the day's outing. uniorfSenior Picnic On june I I, the juniors sponsored a picnic in honor of the Seniors. Races were held and prizes were given to the winners. However, tennis, hasehall, and swimming were the chief features of the day's entertainment. There was plenty to eat even Daryle had enough. Junior Prom May 16, 1930 HE fifth Annual .lunior Prom was one of the most hrilliant and attractive events of the school year. The school gymnasium was transformed from a place of work and study to one of enioyahle entertainment. The soft glow of japanese lanterns lit up the false ceiling of delicately colored, peach and nile paper. Three small, talented dancers, Catherine Duffy. -lean Vonachen, and jimmy Kromphardt, furnished solo numhers. Both alumni and high school students came out in full force for this event and danced to the music of the New Arcadians. A great deal of the responsihility of this successful evening fell-on the general chairman, Charles Goodwin, and his cofworlters. Daryle Saurhaugh and his committee must he given credit for the heautiful decorationsg Sadie Jones was responsihle for the entertainment: refreshments were taken care of hy Lois Vauhel: and the puhlieity and invitations hy Leslie Vv'ilson. Everyone in the junior Class and also all who attended the Prom helped to make it an event long to he rentemliered. Miss Wright of the Kingman llrade School is responsihle for many helpful suggestions which she gladly gave to the head of the respective committees. Pitt-e 7-J
