Whittington owns five of the victories to Randolph's four. Keeling backed these two on the mound with West, Summers, and Wits- man. Dale Cates' .441 hitting was a strong bracer for the Aces to fall back on, as he led the league in hitting. Whittington posted the best mark in keeping the nine in conten- tion for strikeout honors. Coach Keeling said they were xaveraging about 10 a game-seven innings. Whittington posted the best mark against West Lebanon in a 16- inning affair which took two days to play. ln the first 11 innings he fanned 17 and came back in the last five to down eight more from the mound. Keeling is proud of the fact that the boys played as a unit and hung together when the going got rough. Batting averages of the first ten were: Cates. .4-111 Summers, .5711 Randolph. .5681 D. Lyons. .3641 R. Lyons, .5553 Whittington, .5251 Witsman, .2791 Moran. .2221 Thompson. .2001 and XWest. .136 Seniors who saw their last in fall play are Randolph, R. Lyons. Thompson, Cates. 7142-wi 70ofz6! S FI 'ZZ 1. Ronald Randolph, better known as Fuzz, has been one of the Black Aces' best floor gen- erals in the history of our school, and he has been a terrific thorn in our opponents' ego with his jump shot. Fuzz was a member of the Wabash Valley All-Star team in 1956. 2. Fredric Summers floor play, defense, and level thinking made him a valuable member of the Black Ace Team. We will miss him. 5. Harry George Rateliff, lacking varsity ex- perieme, has given good moral support to his teammates from the bench. -4. Fred Thompsons height made him a valu- able rebounder on the Kingman team. lfRliD
