Faculty Administration Burl Bartlett Superintendent I personally want to congratulate our student body for an outstanding year. Every organiza- tion in our school displayed the spirit of K.H.S. in their many activities. I am proud of our faculty and our student body for their coopera- tion and their achievements in the academic areas. The measure of the quality of an institu- tion or of a people is in what they do. not in what they say. The 1974-1975 school year will be recorded as one of the best in the history of Kingfisher High School. I congratulate you and wish continued success for each of you. Rodger Howell Principal How do you feel when the band strikes up on “Kingfisher High?” Is it just another song, or do you get the same kind of lump in your throat as you do when the band starts the “Star Spangled Banner?” If you do, then you have school pride. School pride does not just happen; it is not in- born, it is not taught in the classroom, nor is it legislated by the school administration. This quality is something that you develope by being an active part of a school. A student who tries in every way to improve his school and who tries to make every organization that he belongs to a better one has developed school pride. If we will all take an active interest in our school and work for its betterment, then we will have school pride. James Young High School Counselor I believe that all men are born for a noble cause and those who search out and make use of their God given capabilities reach that state regardless of out- ward circumstances. For others it is comfortable to believe that trouble and unhappiness is attributable to others. This is a hopeless attitude since man has never been successful in changing his neighbor. When we can admit that the root to our problems often lie at our own front door, then we are learning to live responsibly and the power to live nobly is made available by the Creator. We hope we have been a success in these areas, for we feel that it is an important task to document the activities of the 74 75 school year. The student body has had a weekly paper available throughout the school year. Through the STINGER we hope that alumni 20 years from now will have an ac- curate story of each school week of 74-75. The 1975 KHS Yellowjacket is meant to convey our feelings of what school life is all about, and not just the formal, rigid, everyday yearbook. This book has more photographs and mure memories than almost any book in the past. It is our hope that these efforts meet with the approval of the readership of the Kingfisher High School Yearbook Editors: Bob Hasenfratz. Paula Forbes. Perry Franz. Brenda Wheeler.
