KINGFISHER HIGH SCHOOL KINGFISHER, OKLAHOMA VOLUME XIX, 1966 'DiawuMcU' TABLE OF CONTENTS Pg ADMINISTRATION AND FACULTY ......5 SENIORS ....................... 13 JUNIORS 33 SOPHOMORES 45 FRESHMEN .................. 53 EIGHTH ................«....... 63 ROYALTY ..................... 69 SPORTS .........................87 ORGANIZATIONS 105 VOCATIONAL 123 1 'DedcMtca Dedicated to a teacher who has taught to her fullest capacity and has done everything possible for the better- ment of the students of KHS, she is trdy a person who believes “it is better to give than receive.” 2 ecUcatiaa ‘° tud™t .'vhoT academic ability, personali , and determination to succeed has made him outstanding person. He is truly a person who believes “no handicap is too large or too small to overcome.” an Ketutcf, gmcL acuity Incite ft 5 S( cn,mteMdciit “I shall study and be prepared” has been the key to success for many a young man and woman. The zealous pursuit of education leads to higher income; the opportunity to choose a more interesting and challenging kind of w ork. Education promotes stability' of family life, a greater capacity to enjoy leisure. Furthermore, the attainment of full cultural maturity may be a central purpose of education. PuacCfraC How do you feel when our band strikes up on “Kingfisher High?” Is it just another song, or do you get the same kind of lump in your throat as you do when the band starts the “Star Spangled Banner?” If you do, then you have school pride. School pride does not just happen; it is not inborn, it is not taught in the class room, nor is it legislated by the school administra- tion. This quality is something that you de- velop by being an active part of a school. A student who tries in every way to improve his school and who tries to make every organization that he belongs to a better one has developed school pride. If we will all take an active interest in our school and work for its betterment, then we will have school pride. 7 Sc umI SEATED—Dale Wrobbel, Vice-president; Bill Thomson, President; Pat Rivers; Clerk • STANDING—Russell Pursell, Curran Krittenbrink, John Ruth. I am confident that success in life is cer- tain for our five seniors: Jean Ann, Norma, Ella .Mae, Cindy, and Twila. These people have no concept of what it means to quit. Y'ou are indeed a fine group of young men and I am much richer today because of the association I have had with you. For three years we have worked hard, and the results of our labors are both satisfying and gratifying. Because of this we have learned many lessons which will help us throughout the years to come.
