5 1 , 3 . 'N-R. .z5i gnu Junior Class Officers .... Calvin Vorderlandwehr, vice president: Donna Lemon, sec- retary, Fred Karrenbrock, president, Wilma Meier, treasurer. The Juniors of '59 were an ambitious group. Led by their President, Fred Karrenbrock, they had a prosperous year and they gained many new experiences working in the Junior concession stand at the football and basketball games. But the entire year was not spent in work. They enjoyed their class party, which was a kiddie party, and many a happy hour was spent planning the J unior-Senior banquet and prom. In spite of all their class activities, the mem- bers of the class found time to participate in all school activities. Out of fifty-five members in the class, thirteen are in the band, twenty-two are in chorus, four are active F.F.A. members, two are in F.H.A., seven are on the newspaper staff, eight on the Annual staff, eight play football, four are on the girls' basketball team, one on the boys' basketball team, three on the National Honor Society, five on the State Honor Society, four are active in Pep Club and two are Pep Club cheer leaders, three are school librarians, and four are on the Student Council. This is a record that cannot be equaled by any other class in school. Our candidate, Donna Lemon, won the nomi- nation for annual queen. Calvin Vorderlandwehr was our class favorite and Joyce Mapel was our homecoming queen. Aided by our sponsors, Mrs. Ruth Payne and Mr. Jack Edge, the class had a successful year and are looking forward to being Seniors next year. Class Favorites Calvin Vorderlandwehr and Donna Lemon
