Ye Olde School Bell MR. LOREN JOHNSON, principal of Kingfisher Junior Senior High School came to the Kingfisher School system 14 years ago He received his B.S. degree from the Oklahoma Baptist University and his M.A. from the University of Oklahoma. The school year of 1958-1959 will remain in the minds of the students attending Kingfisher Junior-Senior High School for years to come. Due to the remodeling and building pro- gram, students and teachers alike have had to make numerous changes in their' school routine. Many things that had been done in the past were of necessity curtailed, and some ac- tivities, as well as some courses, dropped for a time. Both students and teachers should be commended for the co-operation shown and the rapid adjustment made to the physical changes occurring about them almost daily. When conditions are in a turmoil, the citizenship of an individual is always tested, but the attitude shown by the citizens of our school reveal their ability to look beyond the discomforts of the present and to view the future with abiding faith. All the undergraduates will benefit by the new building and even the old building with a new face, but the Senior Class of 1958-1959 is the group we wish to commend the most be- cause they will have spent their last year in a school building neither old nor new but one in the process of growing into the new. So, Seniors, we hail you as a pioneer group and may luck follow you all the days of your lives. To the other students of Kingfisher Schools, we wish you the best in your school as it changes from the old to the new. Take care of it, use it, but leave it unmarked, except with usage, for the future students who will take your place. LOREN L. JOHNSON 7 Late Again?
