MR. RUSSELL PURSELL Superintendent I have tremendous faith in the young people of the Kingfisher Schools. Our community can witness each succeeding day the prowess of boys and girls in action. Given a reasonable amount of intelligent leadership, youth accumulates an ever-growing reservoir of worthwhile deeds. I have no sympathy for those adults grown old mentally, if not physically, who lament the shortcomings of the younger generation, not that every boy and girl is a model of correct deeds or the symbol of a wished-for perfec- tion. Who is? Yet the high hope for the fulfillment of the American dream is to be found in the astonishing record of achievement of American youth today. I know that every student will become a useful citizen and uphold the high ideals of Kingfisher High School.

Now Hear This! In order for a democracy, such as the United States of America, to be successful, we need to develop in our people these three things: General education to make all citizens capable of intelli- gent thinking; the development of a keen-minded leadership which knows what it wants but is will- ing to lead rather than drive its fellow citizens; and a spirit of co-operation in place of quarreling, or negligence, on the part of the masses of the people. Teaching citizenship is one of the many duties of the public schools of America. Kingfisher High School strives at all times to fulfill its obligation to its community by turning out the best citizens possible. MR. LOREN JOHNSON High School Principal ADMINISTRATION Administrators plan the school year sCliOOL BOARD—Mr. Erwin Wendt, vice-president; Mr. Bill Pierson; Mr. Guy Boyd; Superintendent Pursell Hr.
