CLASS OF 1950 Class vOfficers: President ,,,, , james McLaughlin Vice -President , , , Austin Thompson Secretary, . , , Dena Vose - Treasurer ,,.. , Louise' Taylor Student Council Representative ,,,, Ronald Meldrum Throughout the year we sold fudge to get money for our next years' class trip, Some of the students who helped with school activities were: Jean Trenholm, . who made and sold tickets at our basketball gaxnesg Louise Taylor, who took part in the Carnival Play, Swept Clean Off Her Feet , and was chosen assistant manager of the girls' basketball teamg ,Dena Vose, who was the only girl who went out for basketball, A majority of the boys participated in fall baseball, They were Gene Boyce, Lewis Brackley, james McLaughlin, Wendell Dunham, Russell Riggs, Burchell Morrell, and Austin Thompson, Leland Huntington was their manager, Boys who went out for Cross Country from the junior class were Gene Boyce, Ronald Meldrum, Austin Thompson, Wendell Dunham, and Russell Riggs, In the Franklin County Meet at Wilton, won by Kingfield, Russel Riggs, and Austin Thomp- son got medals for coming in first and second respectively, At the State Meet at the University of Maine, Russell came in second and won another medal, Those boys that made the varsity basketball team were Lewis Brackley, Austin Thompson, Wendell Dunham, and Burchell Morrell, Those playing on the JV were Gene Boyce, james McLaughlin and Russel Riggs, The junior boys who participated in the winter carnivals at Rangeley, Farming- ton, and Wilton were Russell, Burchell, and Austin, The junior class sold hot dogs and cold drinks at the Rangeley and Stratton games, JUNIOR CLASS Our class is small We know it isn't right There's only twelve in all, To throw things and to fight We play with tacks, But just the same Instead of facts, To win great fame But we will never fall, You can'tjust sit and write, Louise Taylor, Class Editor 10
