TRACK I 964 King William cindermen experienced a good year at home but failed to shine in away meets. In the first contest with Marriott and Pleasant Hill at the Knight's home, our Knights swept all the first spots except two. The team was led by Jimmy Green's 15 points. Green was also on the 880 relay team. Following the senior were two juniors, Ronald Kelley, and David Townsend each with 9 1X2 points. In the next meet with New Kent and West Point, King William had to settle for second place. Again led by Jimmy Green, the team made a very respectable showing. District competition proved alittle rough for our boys. The broad jump pit was a comfortable spotfor the team. Finishing 1-2 the Knights scored 8 points in this event alone, and went on to finish 5th out of 8 teams. Our trackmen are lookingforward to a better showing in next year's district contest. , Record King William 53 1X2 New Kent 63 Pleasant Hill 23 King William 19 Marriott 13 1X2 West Point 8 District Competition--Fifth Place 44

Chenault, J. Kervonick, Manager. BASEBALL I 964 This young baseball team rebounded from last year's winless season to an overall record of two wins and nine losses and is look- ing forward to a better slate in the 1965 season. Inexperience proved to be a great handicap to the seniorless club, which was led by junior Bill Brizendine's .313 batting average and his three stolen bases. An uns easoned pitching staff was the drawback in King William's defense. However, one of the bright spots in this department was the infield whose only trouble was hitting. In the outfield, the right- field position proved to be a troublespot for Coach Abel's Knights. This position was backed up by David Townsend and pitcher-center- fielder Willie Edwards.
