. l CDUR YEARS AT KP. As graduation nears to complete our four years at King Philip Regional High School, the Class of 1080 leaves with a variety of emotions. Some students willingly, other sadly. But one thing is for sure, not one student can say these past four years were a waste of time as we look back on what we have shared. The Class of 1980 entered the high school with a total of 822 students in September of 1976. The class officers were Belinda Kuphal - President, Maura LaLumia - V. President, Susan Hochberg - Secretary, and Susan Miller- Treasurer. The first task we faced was to build our first float. Meetings were held at Chris Ielinek 's house under the supervision of Mr. Rice, Mr. Alan White, and Mr. Lombard , our freshman class advisors. Although we didn't come in first place, most of us were proud of our float with the theme K.P.Skins the Tigers . The Semi - Formal, held at Sandy's Resturant in Plainville, was a success with the freshman sitting proud as Debbie Newell and Susan Miller represented our class as the court to the queen. To raise money, we sold candy and t - shirts. Our super spirit was shown to all as the freshman and sophomores won the Powder Puff football game. As sophomores, we entered with a change of advisors: Mr. Young, Mrs. Brennan, and Mrs. Kelly, as well as new class officers: Lynda Armstrong - President, Sue Amoling - V. President, Louise Dlke - Treasurer, and Gretch- en Grube - Secretary. Our sophomore year began with car washes, candy sales, bake sales, and another float. Foxboro will arrive gold, blue, and new, but will leave from KP. stamped black and blue seemed to give us more pain than pleasure, but it was our float. No one could take away our pride.
