PASF members hold district state offices With thf honor of having the State President from King ' s PASF Chapter, the Spanish Club had its busiest year yet with over 70 registered members who have taken part in helping with projects and activities. Activities for the year included a trip to Mexico Cir ' over the Thanksgiving holidays, a one-day trip to Nuevo Laredo for a shopping spree, and attending Mexi- can movies to test their Spanish. Fund- raising projects were bake sales, home- made praline sales, a pot holder sale, a penny collection, and a clothes drive. Money collected was used for Pesos for Braces. Linda Henderson served as president, and Donna West assisted her as vice-pres- ident. Cathy Nance, Kevin Ragsdale, and Tony Gatti served as secretary, treasurer and reporter respectively. Debbie Perkins was elected District PASF treasurer. 1 PASF sponsors and officers are Mrs Becky Seale, Donna West, vice-president, Tony Garti, recorder; Linda Hen. derson. president, Kevin Ragsdale, treasurer. Rodeoers find fun, excitement, friends With almost twice as many members as its first year, the Rodeo Club was busy. Involve- ment in many area rodeos proved to be fun as well as valuable experience, and in the front trophy case, members proudly displayed tro- phies won in riding competition. Gladlin King presided over meetings and. with Vice-President Butch McKinney, Secretary Karen Riner. and Treasurer Tcrri Cowan, the Rodeoers sponsored a bake sale to earn money for a spring trip. Lynn Yaklin also served the club as Sergeant-at-Arms. Besides participating in area rodeos, and money-making projects, the club members also spent many weekends at barbecues and hayrides at places such as Hazel Bazemorc Park. 1. Dennis Polk hangs on for a few extra moments at an area rodeo. 2, On a trip to Hazel Bazemore Park for a barbecue, members find time for a game of horseshoes, 3. while others wait for the food. 4. Paul Jamison braces himself as he comes out of the gate. 5. As night falls, members take a moment to clown before starting for home after a long day of food, fun, and friends. 74 organizations
