Hand -crafted articles raise money for FHA Key rings of green and white at the beginning of school, candles, and bake sales during the year helped the FHA stabilize their treasury this year. Carrie Gray, president; Rhonda Vaughan, vice president; and Kathy Mitchell, secretary; met with the other officers, treasurer Ida Madsen and reporter Karen Ewing, and mem- bers to plan the year ' s activities. On schedule were the traditional covered dish supper in May, and the state FHA Convention, to which they planned to send two delegates. Chess Club reorganizes, doubles in size P i nl V Boasting a record total of 23 active members, compared to last year, the Chess Club was completely reorgani- zed this year. An informal tournament was plan- ned within the club in order to deter- mine the current Chess Club King. Key Club helps needy family at Christmas Key Club allows young men to develop leadership qualities by serv- ing their school and communiry. In its first year of existence, the King High chapter was sponsored by the Midtown Kiwanis Club. Members worked at Christmas to buy goods for a needy family and planned to attend a joint Texas- Oklahoma convention in the spring. Mr. Manuel Abarca sponsored the club, 1.
