February welcomes the return of the P. 0. W. ' s Along with snowflakes, February also brought cheers and tears with the returning of the P.O.W. ' s follow- ing the truce of the Vietnam War. The nation mourned the deaths of both ex-presidents, Truman and John- son. As important milestones were taking place in national affairs. King High School went on as usual. Many plans were made around the excite- ment of Valentines, as the Psychol- ogy Club delivered Valentine tele- grams and the French Club sold car- nations. Seniors planned for gradua- tion with the ordering of their invita- tions, announcements, caps, and gowns. National Merit Finalists were announced, with four being from King. The Student Council nomi- nated 25 seniors for the Court of Honor, and a panel of 15 teachers chose eight of these to be the Royal Court of Honor. The King band held a Mexican Supper and earned over $1000. The month ended with King sponsoring an NFL qualifying tourna- ment. 4r ' -• B BBBW B J
