73 CORONAT As the 1973 CORONAT goes to press, a deep sigh of relief is heard from Room 10. Frustration over lost pictures, worry over deadlines that might be missed, the laughter of jok- ing staff members, the sleep lost on Saturday morning workdays, all of this and more has ended for a while. The memories we have printed arc but fleeting moments of the past, yet they are an important pan of our growth as individuals. In thinking of the past, the staff owes its special thanks to many peo- ple. We would like to thank Mr. Lynn Wildman, our Taylor Publish- ing Company Representative, for the time and effort he has given us from the Trinity Workshop last summer to the present, and Mr. Charlie Whites, his co-worker, for his help on the cover design. We extend our great appreciation to Joe Loya, a King art student, for his ideas for the cover and endsheets. Also deserving special thanks are Mr. and Mrs. Sammy Gold of Gold ' s Studio, Mr. Morris Winkle of the King Photography Depanment, and the Caller-Times Photography Department. Freelance photographers David Grassbaugh, James Keeling, and Robert Hughes also assisted us in many minor crises. We would also like to thank Spons Editor Paul Jami- son for the use of his truck for the staff picture. We are grateful to Mr. Kent Pogue for the cooperation and under- standing he has shown us throughout all our deadlines and crises. Also, special thanks from the Edi- tors and staff go to Miss Susan Die- mert for helping us record the spirit of this year in the opening copy. Of course, the CORONAT would never have been completed but for the work of our sponsor, Mrs. Terry Orr. We will never be able to express fully our deep gratification and respect to her for the patience, help, and hard work she so willingly gave to make this book worthy of Richard King High School. jj I feel like a spinning top or a Dreidcl, The spinning don ' t stop when you leave the cradle. You just slow down. Round and round the world you go Spinning through the life of people we know. We all go round. How are you going to keep on trying from day to day? How are you going to keep from turning your life away. ' No days you can borrow . . . No time you can buy.
