Teachers and students are working together to help the janitors. Returning after having a heart attack, Jackson was welcomed back by his friends among the student body and the faculty. 1. Mrs. Estes greets the students with a smile at lunch time. 2. One of Mauricio ' s many duties is cleaning up the gym after a pep rally.

1 Library gets many new books The librarians spent much time at the beginning of the year cataloging new books. The shelves are filling rapidly, providing students with bet- ter studying material, as well as books just for enjoyment. TTie library staff stays busy checking out and in books, maintaining audio-visual equipment and overseeing a well-used place of study. 1. Librarians include Mrs. Barbara Hawkins. Mrs. Ruth Rascoe, and Mrs. Kenny Neff. 2 Helping students find lost books is one of the many jobs for Mrs, Doris Mains, who works in the book room. 3. Working in the library isn ' t as easy as it may seem as shown by Mrs. Neff ' s expression. e

Students ask School Board for changes The Superintendent ' s Student Advi- sory Council requested changes such as cheerleading for credit, midsemes- ter test exemptions for seniors and changes in school discipline measures. The Advisory Council, which is made up of students from the high schools in this school district, meets every month with the board to talk about different problems. The board then tries to take action or explains stu- dents questions. 1- The School Board beginning at the front and going around the circle are Dr. Dana Wil- liams. Dr. Cornell Barnard. Mrs, W Bruce Darlington, Mr. W. G. Hutson, Mr. Jack McQueen, Dr. James E. Albright, Mr. Arturo Vasquez, and Mr. Franklin Bass. 2. Parents and students are welcome at School Board meet- ings. 3 Serving as Superintendent of the C.C.I. S.D. consists of much work for Dr. Dana Williams. 4. Dr. Williams listens to the opin- ions of the other board members. 5. The School Board ponders problems brought up before them.
