Eight seniors named U Favorite his sophomore and junior years, BICK BROWN cries of honors by being selected Favorites King his senior : He served on the Student Council all three years and acted as trea- year. Another three year activity- of this Latin Club member was kctball. As a member of the Coronat staff, he worked on the athletics section of this yearbook. After graduation from college, KAREN GABBARD wants to become an actress, to teach drama and speech or to be a psychologist. A member of NFL and Thespians. Karen served as vice president of the latter group during her s enior year. Karen earned National Honor Society membership her senior year. Active in the Student Council three years, she was voted secretary this year. Karen ' s fellow class members voted her a Favorite her first two years and Favorites Queen this year. President of the National Honor Society HAROLD GOLD served three years in the Student Council, the Band and the National Forensic League, while earning a 5.7 grade average. In the Student Council. Harold was vice president as a sophomore and president as a junior. Elected to the Band Council two years. Harold also performed with the Stage Band. Other of his honors include selection for the Principal ' s Advisory Board. Altt to Boys ' State and debate scholarship co-winner. 136 honors MARY HULINGS enjoys sailing in her spare time. Having a 3.8 grade average, she is a two year member of National Honor Society, which elected her vice president this year. Mar ' was voted a member of the Student Council her sophomore, junior and senior years and served as scc- retar ' the first two years. A member of the gymnastics team in the elev- enth grade, she was a member of Senior Girls this year. Mary, a nominee for Homecoming Queen, was a Senior Favorite.

BARBARA UTTLE was elened state president of Pan American Student Forum this year. She was a member of Student Council. Royalettes, National Honor Society and Spanish Club. DONNA LOFTIN ci the Royilettcs is captain this year and was co-editor of Coronac. A two year National Honor Sodety member, she was also active in the Spanish and Biology Qubs. HANNON WALKER, a three year NFL icmber. earned the Double Ruby in the tganization. A member of National Honor ociety. she was a Hoofbeat reporter and co- dicor of Pegasus. PATTY WARNER served on the Student Council this year and was a reporter on the Hooflieat staff. SUSAN X ' ALE i■. with a ? 8 grade point average, played varsity tennis three years and was elened team captain this year. A two year NHS member, she was news editor of the Hoofbeat this year.

The Texas Women ' s EngineertngSocter pres- ented her an award for science and mathematics, A member of Sen.or Girls, Peggy was First Lidy-in-Waiting to the Homecommg Court. Her senior year was a demanding one for GINNY GREENE. She was president of the Student Counal and Editor-in-Chief of The Hoofbcat, She was a representative to the council and a reporter for the newspaper during her junior year, A Favorite Runner-up in the eleventh grade, Ginny was voted a Senior Class Favorite this year. In 1972 she travelled to Japan as a part of the Sister City exchange program. Maintaining a i.l grade average. Ginny is a two-year National Honor Society member .tnd she earned mem- bership in Quill and Scroll, a national honor society for journalism stu- dents. Ginny was named Outstanding Student during Youth Appreciation Week in the fall of 1972. A Junior Deacon in the First Christian Church, TOMMY ' LEWIS en,oys outdoor activities such as water skiing, fishing, golf, hiking, and hunting He played football all three years in high school, basketball two years and was a member of the golf team his senior year. Tommy earned All Di-sttict honors this year in football, A class Favorite all three years, he acted as Student Council vice president this year. Tommy participated in the Yoko- suca Sister Ciry Program and was a member of the National Honor Society and the German Club, Permanent Varsity Football Captain ALLEN STONE participated in the sport all three years at King, earning All Distnct honors his ,un or and senior years, A three-year member of NFL, he was a part of the d.stria champion one act play during his junior year As a sophomore A en served on the Student Council and competed with the Junior Varsity Track Team National Merit Scholarship Foundation recognized this two-year NHS member with a Letter of Commendation, His club memberships included the Drama .ind Uitin Clubs honors 137
