Roundballers defend Bi-Regional Crown The 1972-73 basketball team, the defending Bi-Regional Champs, had high hopes this year with a strong returning team. Leading the outstand- ing returners was All-District Player, Denis Stanka. Kevin Ragsdale and James Krause also brought back valu- able experience from the year before. The Mustangs, coached by Ned Fowler, faced a tough schedule this year, playing nearly 35 games; includ- ing three tournaments, one in Brownsville and one in Houston. The basketball team played 16 game s this year in district competition, instead of 14, because of the addition of Rob- stown to the schedule. 1 The 1972.73 King Mustang Basketball Team: Ronnie Norrell, Bick Brown, Dean Conwell, Denis Stanka, Dick Glaser, Harry Hamilton, Coach Ned Fowler, James Krause, David Hunt, Kevin Ragsdale, Jay Kucera, and Mike Morris. 2.
